I think its my calling to be an all knowing beauty expert. Whenever I go into the drugstore or Sephora or even department stores, I always look around and think.. hmm what can I blog about next. I always want to try the next best thing. One of the things that I feel I am always on the search for is mascara, concealer and foundation. I feel you can never stick to just one. Everytime I go to +Sephora I always ask them about concealers. I feel like this is one thing that I haven't really found that I can totally live without. I have oily skin but under my eyes is very dry and tends to crease in an instant. I've tried everything under the sun and I just want something that works. Recently I've been hooked on Armani's Maestro Eraser Concealer and I really felt that it was hydrating and I really do love it. I feel that the sheen in it brightens the area and I really like the feel of it on my skin. I went to +Sephora in Herald Square last week and asked about the Tarte Maracuja creaseless concealer and the lady that helped me was completely in love with it. She was saying how she also had oily skin and that her skin was the same as mine and she said that the Maestro one didn't cover as much and that the Tarte one was way better since it was full coverage.
This concealer is said to be full coverage and it won't crease, flake or have you needing to reapply. It has +tarte's signature maracuja oil in it which helped improve your skin's texture, tone and moisture while having a brightening dewy luminous finish. Since it has the maracuja oil, you will see that it also has all the benefits that you will find in the regular maracuja oil and the actual concealer will help mask any discoloration, imperfections such as acne, blemishes, redness, scars, hyperpigmentation and even dark circles. Its very easy to apply. Even though its full coverage, you will notice that its really easy to blend and it dries to a flawless finish.
I asked for a sample and took it home to try it. The next morning I put on my foundation and then the concealer. I used a concealer brush since that's what she recommended. I liked how it went on at first and yes I did feel that it did cover better than the Maestro one. The true test for me is throughout the day. I was thinking that this stuff will probably crease within seconds. I went throughout the entire day and nothing. I didn't feel it crease at all. We are in summer so if anything it was going to crease instantly during the summer months but it stayed put. At the end of the day, I didn't feel that my concealer had disappeared or anything or that I needed more coverage throughout the day.
This concealer retails for $24 which is way cheaper than the Maestro Eraser concealer. This concealer also comes in 7 different shades ranging from fair to dark. The shade I chose for myself is medium but there are a range of different shades that you can choose from. All in all, I definitely recommend this product along with this brand. I don't think there has been a product from this brand that I haven't fell in love with. Its definitely something you should pick up.
Have you tried this concealer? What do you think? Leave comments below and let me know your thoughts.
I will review anything and everything beauty related!! Hope you enjoy!

Tarte Cheek Stain Review
Blush!! OMG I started to fall in love with blush once I moved to NYC. Not sure why I didn't really use it before but I was usually always tanned when I lived in Puerto Rico so I didn't really see a need for blush. Now that I use it, I can't see a reason not to use it. You need shades for everything. It makes your face look so different. I have a go to color but mostly like to switch it up every day depending on my eye make up. During the winter months my skin becomes more dried out and I like to add moisture by using non powder blush, bronzer and foundation. I saw that Tarte redesigned their cult favorite cheek stain line. The packaging is so cute now and I love all the colors. I wanted to buy all of them but I just went ahead and got the Flush color since it was the original berry stain color. These cheek stains smell amazing. They have something like a berry smell to them. They are also made with the maracuja oil that Tarte is oh so famous for which gives you all those amazing anti-aging benefits. The reason why it smells so good is because it has the T5 Super fruit complex which is maracuja, acai berry, acerola, goji berry and pomegranate. These are all good to help with the brightening, firming, inflammatory, cell regeneration, smoothing elements. These come in amazing colors and you are definitely going to find something that works for you.
I like to apply this sometimes under my BB cream so that it just gives my skin a "just pinched" look, this is if I am only going to use BB cream and forgo foundation that day. If I decide to wear foundation, I opt to use it after the foundation. I apply this directly onto my cheek or sometimes with a foundation brush or the beauty blender. I haven't found a way that I absolutely love yet. I do know that I love this product. Its light and natural looking. It gives you a sheer hint of color which I love in a blush. I usually set it with translucent powder and thats it. It has long wear and don't feel like I need to reapply. I wouldn't reapply my blush either way but I don't need to. These retail for $30 and you can get them in +Sephora or +ULTA Beauty or +Amazon.com. I know $30 for blush is a lot of money but this blush will last you and this isn't a seasonal product. You can use it all year round. I think it would look better once I get a tan and just put this and forgo foundation and bb cream. I can't wait for summer!
Hope you enjoy this and let me know your thoughts if you've tried this or if you have a favorite color!

Beauty Oils... what's the scoop?
I want to be able to give you the lowdown on beauty oils. They've been around for a while now because I remember using oils as cleansers in high school, which was a while back. These are now oil serums that are good for your skin. There are many different oils that you can get. There are ones that help with aging or give you a brightening glow. There are so many different ones that its probably hard to choose which one you want. I've noticed that I like to stick to the ones that are regular since I add drops of these into my moisturizer plus I like to use them as cuticle oil or anything else that I want extra moisturizer for. One of the ones that I love is argan oil. Now there are a ton of things that come with argan oil. Its really good for your hair so one of the products you've probably heard of is the Moroccan Argan
Oil hair products. These are good even though for me, I think they make my hair a bit too greasy so I stay away from those in general. Some of the beauty oils that I like with argan oil are +josie maran 100% argan oil and 100% argan oil light. I love the light one since I have more oily skin, I feel that the light one absorbs into my skin faster without feeling oily. In the morning my face feels so soft and I think it attributes to the oil. Another thing that I learned to love to do with the beauty oil is put it on my cuticles. This does wonder on your cuticles, what I do is remove my polish and then I put a couple of drops on each nail and go to bed. I rub it in before I go to bed but then in the morning, my nails and cuticles are very hydrated. This helps my hands stay hydrated which a lot of people don't realize that when dealing with this whole anti aging process a lot of people forget their hands are a dead tell as to their age. So always make sure to take care of your hands.
Another serum that I love is the +tarte cosmetics Maracuja oil, this the other one that I use which I do the same thing. I use it the same way. Another one that I love because I was able to get a sample from +Sephora is the +boscia skincare Tsubaki beauty oil. This one has a floral scent that smells like heaven. This one helps with the premature signs of aging which for me would be great since my skin hasn't aged fully. I think once I finish my Josie Maran and Tarte one I will buy the Boscia one. I am really starting to like the Boscia skincare lately, so I will probably be buying a cleanser from them once I finish my +olay pore refining cleansing scrub. But all in all I think everyone should be
using a beauty oil. Doesn't matter which one you decide to use, you cannot go wrong if you at least have adapted one into your skincare routine. Everyone needs it, even if you have oily skin. As I've said before, these trick your skin to thinking you've already produced oil therefore your skin produces less oil making your skin less oily. Josie Maran 100% and Light retails for $48, the Tarte Maracuja and Boscia Tsubaki oil retails for $46 so they are around the same price. Please go out and splurge on these and thank me later.

Tarte CC Primer Stick Review
As you know if you've been reading, Tarte is really one of my favorite makeup brands. They came out with a CC primer stick a couple of months ago and I was all on it. I always love a good primer and that has colors to correct my pigmentation? I'm in! I went to the my local +Sephora and started swatching because normally I would go straight for the medium and be done with it but after reading reviews I saw that they were on the darker side. I went back and forth between the light and medium and since the girls that work there went on the mood to actually work so I had to just go on my own opinion. I went with the medium, went home and put it on and didn't see it being that dark but after a while u did realize that it was a tad too dark. I went back returned it for the light. I am definitely comfortable with the light on this one. This isn't very pigmented to begin with so I wasn't that worried.
So when you look at the primer you will see that there are four triangles-- two are the actual light color and one is green and one is purple. The green one is to balance off the redness on your skin and the purple if to help out the discolorations while brightening the dullness. This goes on smoothly when you put it directly on your face. The instructions say to apply directly on your skin on your T-zone, cheeks and chin. This allows the product to evenly go on your skin and you can blend it with your fingers. I recommend your fingers and not a beauty sponge or brush because since the coverage is so light, this helps the product stay on your face and not rub off on the sponge or brush applicator. Once this is on your skin you automatically feel that it feels very soft on your skin. This gives you a light light coverage. I can probably just go out with this and concealer but I prefer more coverage for work. Since this is made with the famous amazonian clay that Tarte is all about now, this is also good for your skin. You will see your skin brighten up and more hydrated after using this product for an extended amount of time.
Once you've applied this, you will notice that your foundation goes on so much easier. It glides on and it gives you an overall smoother look. I love this and since it has the light coverage, this is what I use for the weekends. I definitely recommend this primer stick to anyone who loves light coverage and for those who need a color correcting primer, this is it. It retails for $34 and you can buy it at +Sephora, +ULTA Beauty, or +tarte cosmetics.

Tarte Discover the Amazon Trio Review
Makeup chat! It was recently my birthday and I had received a gift from my dear friend +Madeline Mulero. She had gotten me the +tarte cosmetics Discover the Amazon Trio. This kit comes with the Amazonian Clay 12-hour full coverage foundation, the Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart mascara in Black and the Pure Maracuja oil rollerball which makes it super easy to apply anywhere. It also comes with this make up pouch which is just gorgeous!
These products are made with the amazonian clay that +tarte cosmetics has been using for a lot of their products lately. The maracuja oil is one of their best sellers. Its good to put on your face as a serum at night and morning. Since the oil has a high dose of essential fatty acids and Vitamin C it will help moisturize, brighten and firm your skin. The maracuja oil is a rollerball fashion which is so much easier to apply than the dropper bottles. I can apply it directly onto my face and cuticles and get all the benefits like firming, brightening and giving me overall healthier skin. I am at an age that I want to start preserving what I have and not get more wrinkles. A lot of people don't realize that all these anti-aging products slow down the aging process or help preserve the process. You can't really turn back time. Once you get to that point, its a little too late. So that's why I definitely want to tackle my wrinkles now better than later and this product is great, even with my oily skin. Another thing people don't quite understand is that having oily skin doesn't mean you can't use beauty oils. When using beauty oils with oily skin, it basically makes the skin believe that you already have produced enough oil and it will actually stop the oil production. I usually only put this on at night but you can put it on in the morning as well. I would definitely recommend you to start adding a beauty oil to your nighttime skin regimen.
This maracuja oil is perfect when matched with the Amazonian clay 12-hr full coverage foundation. I usually do not like full coverage foundation but this one is definitely buildable along with the reverse, meaning, you can put on a little while mixing with a tinted moisturizer or a primer and it will turn into medium/light coverage and not so heavy. You can mix the Tarte BB cream with this which creates a great light/medium coverage while keeping all the Amazonian clay benefits. Its very versatile which is why I love it. It leaves my skin with a healthy looking complexion and not caked on make up like a lot of full coverage foundations. Being that the foundation is full coverage it is great for those days that you just want a little bit more coverage for maybe something at night or maybe a special occasion. Surprisingly this is the only full coverage foundation I own. I prefer the medium to light coverage but I love Tarte makeup so I figured I'd love this as well. As expected, I did. I use it daily when I mix it with a illuminator or a highlighter for more of a dewy finish. It does last the whole 12-hrs as expected from Tarte products.
Once you've applied the foundation and the oil, its nice to just finish off the look with a nice mascara for a no makeup type look. This gifted Amazonian clay smart mascara is just that -- Gifted. This is the best mascara that I've tried out in a while. The brush mimics the one of Lights Camera Lashes by +tarte cosmetics. The mascara goes on effortlessly. A lot of new mascara has eat too much product and gets clumpy but this mascara didn't have that effect at all. It glided on my lashes and made them very volumous and fairly longer. For me length isn't really a wish list for my mascara because my lashes are very long on their own so I rather go for the volume and thickness of lashes. This mascara definitely does that. The color I received was black and boy is this a black mascara. It doesn't flake which I hate when mascara do because I got LASIK about a year ago and I am very careful with my eyes now more than ever. I read reviews about how this mascara didn't last all day, personally I've never had a mascara (inexpensive or expensive brands) ever wear out during the day. At night it is always a pain removing my mascara so not sure what they do to their eyes but just to note, this mascara does stay on all day and night until I take makeup remover to get it off my lashes.
Overall, I love this kit and that I have dear friends that know me well enough to get me gifts like this, even though it came from my wish list from +Sephora. I definitely would purchase a three products again. This was a gift but it is available at Sephora and it retails for $35.
