Ipsy June Bag 2

As you know its this time of month to review my Ipsy bags. If you wanted to sign up, you can do so here. Every month they have a theme and since we are in summer the theme for this month was Pretty in Paradise. One of the best things this month was the actual bad. They partnered with Rebecca Minkoff. I was really excited to see what was in my bag this month. The bag is black with a red zipper and it has pineapple designs on it. Its in a satin material which makes it pop and with red liner its a really nice bag to have in your purse when you go out.

In no particular order, I am just going to go down the list of what I received.  First product I received was a hair product. Sometimes I am not too into having hair products but this one was something I was excited to try since its summer. It's Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach spray. This is a spray that you put in your hair so that you can get those nice beachy waves especially for the summer. Its easy to just wash your hair, put the spray in your hair and let it air dry. If you are pressed for time, you can definitely opt for a diffuser which is that big attachment that no one knows what to do with. This retails for around $9 and it's a drugstore brand which I love. I am not a fan of the smell but its doable for the price. It's like the beach but I feel it could be a little bit more of a coconut sweet smell.

The next product I received was the NYX Butter Gloss and this lipgloss is great. Surprisingly, I've never tried this gloss because I don't think I've ever seen a color that I found appealing but when I get it in a bag then I am more than willing to try it out. I was really happy to have gotten the coral color. Its a pale coral which goes on very nude color but has a hint of color to it. Its a great color to add on top of a pink or nude color to add a glossy top. It claims to not be sticky but I have to say it is a bit thick and my hair gets stuck on my lips because of the lipgloss so thats a bit of a turn off. I do like that I got to try this but I am happy that I didn't spend money on this. It retails for $6 and you can get them in most drugstores and Target/Walmart.

The next product in the bag was a liquid eyeliner. Nothing I was really happy to receive. It was Jesse's Girl Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in black. Its really black and it goes on smooth. It has a felt tip and its really easy application. I am just not a huge fan of liquid eyeliner. This liner retails for around $6.99 and you can get this at most drugstores which is always good. I like how this is so cheap and honestly I think its a great dupe for Stila's CULT liquid eyeliner.

The fourth product I received in my +ipsy bag was the Laneige BB cushion which is a Korean BB cream that just started coming to +Target and I haven't gotten a chance to try it because Target hasn't brought this brand to my Target yet so I am very happy to be able to try it. I read a lot of reviews and some people fell in love with it and some other people hated it. I know that since this is a Korean brand that you can't slather this on as if it was a foundation. This retails for $34 and you can buy it at Target or Target Online.

The last product I received was the Skinn Olive & Enzyme Cleanser which is a duel working cleanser. It is a makeup remover and a face mask. It removes makeup and also leaves your skin really smooth. It has some sort of orange extract because it has a strong citrus smell to it. I like to use this as my makeup remover then I wash it off and cleanse my skin with something else. I do not like how this leaves my skin a bit oily. This would probably work amazing for someone with more dry skin. It retails for $24 and you can buy it online. I don't think this would have been something I would have tried but don't think I would have bought it on my own.

All in all this was a great bag. I was happy for the actual bag that the makeup came in so its always good to have that since I use them on a daily basis to put my cosmetics in my purse. I still recommend Ipsy bags and think if you haven't tried it yet, you should still try at least one month. Its only $10 and you can cancel at any time.

Yes to Tomatoes Facial Wipes Review

I've talked about this brand before and I was all for the blueberry facial wipes that had anti-aging components. For a drugstore brand this is really good line of skincare. I really like the wipes and I could only imagine that the rest of their line is really good. Eventually I need to try the creams and the cleansers. I recently started to breakout a bit more than normal. My normal is something like once every month so if I break out a bit more I get all panicky. I start to double my water intake and think about the food I'm eating to see what's changed and what I can change to at least get this under control. A lot of people think about it outside in but when it comes to your skin, you definitely need to look at things from inside out. That being said I already did the necessary adjustments but I wanted to see if there was something externally that I can do. A lot of my friends ask me what they can do to get their skin to look like mine and I constantly ask how much water do they drink and what kinds of food do they eat. Then the obvious, if its serious then I go and ask if they've gone to the dermatologist because sometimes over the counter remedies aren't going to help.

Now to speak about the face wipes, I was finally out of facial wipes from when I bought them in Target and I decided to change to something with less of the brightening components to something that would treat acne. I decided to buy the +Yes To Carrots brand Yes to Tomatoes facial wipes which are for clearing skin. I started using these for a little bit now and my face is starting to clear up. Now, I've changed a bit of my routine just to accommodate more of a acne regimen instead of an aging regimen. But other than that nothing really has changed and these wipes are really good. They don't dry your skin like a lot of acne products. A lot of them are made to dry your skin so that it dries the acne up but with that it dries your skin and it flakes and it just looks like a hot mess. This pack retails for the same as the other ones did which was $6.99 and honestly these are worth it. They are very moist and they remove most of your makeup so that it is easier for your cleanser to penetrate your skin. I do not recommend you to use face wipes as your only way to wash off your makeup. I really think you should always remove makeup first and then use a cleanser to really get into your pores. As you may know I also use a +Clarisonic brush so that is what I use to exfoliate my skin.

After using these for a while now, I've noticed a difference and a quick fix type difference. I can go back to brightening maybe after I finish this pack of wipes. I am always looking to try something new and I always love seeing what other things are out there. If you have any recommendations, let me know I always love to try new things.

NYX Baked Blush Review

Now that Spring is in the air everywhere else except in the Northeast I always look for ways to change my make up look to make it more Spring-y and less Winter-y. One way to do that is use a different blush. I usually like the darker colors for blush since I am more of a medium olive tone skin color. In the Winter, I like more of a matte finish to my blushes, I usually also go for colors that are more muted. These pair well with a nude lip or a bold dark lip. For Spring, I let it all out. I like to go lighter on my foundation so I usually go with a BB cream and then just concealer to make sure that my under eyes don't look like I haven't slept in years. I also like to add a blush that has a bit of a sheen to it. Something that isn't a highlighter but that has bit of a highlighting aspect to it. I wanted to get the +Too Faced Cosmetics Sweethearts Perfect Flush blush but it retails for about $30 and I thought that was a bit crazy for a blush. I

Lately I've been trying a lot of different blushes and I heard that NYX was coming out with a Baked Blush. I saw this and jumped on it immediately. I love how these look on my face. When you swatch them on your finger, you immediately see that the color is sheer and has a bit of a highlighter feel to it. This is a blush that you need to really layer on so that you can see color but honestly I like that about this blush. I like that you don't have to be careful with it. I like how you really need to use your brush and apply a lot of layers. This gives you the freedom to have more of a loose hand and not worry about looking like a clown. They come in a lot of colors from pinks to bronzers and for drugstore blushes, I think these are one of the best ones out there.

They retail for about $6 each which is nothing compared to its +Sephora dupe from +Too Faced Cosmetics which is $30. I definitely recommend these more for the Spring and Summer seasons just because they look nice since they have highlighter built in already. Do you have a favorite blush? I'd love to hear about it! Definitely let me know!

Petite Target Haul

I went to Target today because I wanted to look for some of the luxury skincare brands that they have now one specifically from Korea Laneige but obviously I guess people in Queens aren't sophisticated enough to get this brand so the only 'luxury' brands that we can get is Boots and No 7. So obviously I picked up some other stuff to justify my going all the way there.

E.L.F Concealer Brushes

I bought a couple of things so lets just get into this... First thing I picked up were concealer brushes from E.L.F. I use these for my clean up when doing my nails. The bristles are on the harder side and these are good to get along the cuticle line with pure acetone. These retail for $1 so thats why I picked up 3 of them. E.L.F brand can be found in Targets but if you live somewhere you can't get E.L.F. make up brushes, you can order online which I prefer because they have a better selection of products than they do at the Target here in Queens.

Garnier 5Sec Blur
 Skin Renew Instant Smoother
I also picked up Garnier 5 sec Blur Skin Renew Instant Smoother which I've been eyeing for a while since I saw a review of one of my favorite Youtubers +Amelia Liana and she showed how it worked on her hands and it instantly smoothed her skin. It was pretty amazing. I have large pores so I immediately needed to get this. The box explains that it has visible blurring effect as it fills lines and wrinkles, hides pores, smoothes flaws, and mattifies shine. Those are all the things that I look for in a primer. It says to apply it after your moisturizer and then to just put your makeup on which is why I'm thinking its a primer. This retails for $14.99 which is more expensive than the Maybelline Baby Skin, but I believe this one will work better.

Ponds Clarant B3
I finally found the Ponds Clarant B3 Dark Spot Correcting Cream, in the big size. This specific Ponds cream is super difficult to find. I've looked all over NYC to find it and I finally found it in Queens. This cream says it will evens skin tone in 2 weeks and it reduces the appearance of dark spots in 4 weeks. They have 2 versions of this cream-- one for normal to oily skin and one for normal to dry skin. Obviously since I have oily skin, I picked up the oily skin one. This retails for $10.99. This price is great compared to some of the skincare creams out there. I've used very expensive creams and I do always come back to the Ponds brand creams.

Botanics Cleansing Face Wipes
All Bright
Lastly, I picked up facial wipes because the Yes brand ones that I have are almost finished and I honestly use them every single day to remove my make up. I believe that this is a great step in my night time routine that helps my skin. I can say that my skin has never looked better. The facial wipes that I picked up were Botanics Cleansing Face Wipes All Bright. I am all for a brightener, I always feel like my skin is dull so I always need brightening agents. These wipes say that it will cleanse and remove even waterproof makeup and its suitable for sensitive skin and it has brightening hibiscus. I've read really good reviews on Botanics wipes so I am very excited to try.
