Ipsy June Bag 2

As you know its this time of month to review my Ipsy bags. If you wanted to sign up, you can do so here. Every month they have a theme and since we are in summer the theme for this month was Pretty in Paradise. One of the best things this month was the actual bad. They partnered with Rebecca Minkoff. I was really excited to see what was in my bag this month. The bag is black with a red zipper and it has pineapple designs on it. Its in a satin material which makes it pop and with red liner its a really nice bag to have in your purse when you go out.

In no particular order, I am just going to go down the list of what I received.  First product I received was a hair product. Sometimes I am not too into having hair products but this one was something I was excited to try since its summer. It's Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach spray. This is a spray that you put in your hair so that you can get those nice beachy waves especially for the summer. Its easy to just wash your hair, put the spray in your hair and let it air dry. If you are pressed for time, you can definitely opt for a diffuser which is that big attachment that no one knows what to do with. This retails for around $9 and it's a drugstore brand which I love. I am not a fan of the smell but its doable for the price. It's like the beach but I feel it could be a little bit more of a coconut sweet smell.

The next product I received was the NYX Butter Gloss and this lipgloss is great. Surprisingly, I've never tried this gloss because I don't think I've ever seen a color that I found appealing but when I get it in a bag then I am more than willing to try it out. I was really happy to have gotten the coral color. Its a pale coral which goes on very nude color but has a hint of color to it. Its a great color to add on top of a pink or nude color to add a glossy top. It claims to not be sticky but I have to say it is a bit thick and my hair gets stuck on my lips because of the lipgloss so thats a bit of a turn off. I do like that I got to try this but I am happy that I didn't spend money on this. It retails for $6 and you can get them in most drugstores and Target/Walmart.

The next product in the bag was a liquid eyeliner. Nothing I was really happy to receive. It was Jesse's Girl Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in black. Its really black and it goes on smooth. It has a felt tip and its really easy application. I am just not a huge fan of liquid eyeliner. This liner retails for around $6.99 and you can get this at most drugstores which is always good. I like how this is so cheap and honestly I think its a great dupe for Stila's CULT liquid eyeliner.

The fourth product I received in my +ipsy bag was the Laneige BB cushion which is a Korean BB cream that just started coming to +Target and I haven't gotten a chance to try it because Target hasn't brought this brand to my Target yet so I am very happy to be able to try it. I read a lot of reviews and some people fell in love with it and some other people hated it. I know that since this is a Korean brand that you can't slather this on as if it was a foundation. This retails for $34 and you can buy it at Target or Target Online.

The last product I received was the Skinn Olive & Enzyme Cleanser which is a duel working cleanser. It is a makeup remover and a face mask. It removes makeup and also leaves your skin really smooth. It has some sort of orange extract because it has a strong citrus smell to it. I like to use this as my makeup remover then I wash it off and cleanse my skin with something else. I do not like how this leaves my skin a bit oily. This would probably work amazing for someone with more dry skin. It retails for $24 and you can buy it online. I don't think this would have been something I would have tried but don't think I would have bought it on my own.

All in all this was a great bag. I was happy for the actual bag that the makeup came in so its always good to have that since I use them on a daily basis to put my cosmetics in my purse. I still recommend Ipsy bags and think if you haven't tried it yet, you should still try at least one month. Its only $10 and you can cancel at any time.

Benefit They're Real Eye MakeUp Line

For those who know me, you know I am a sucker for a bold lip and an amazing mascara. I try a lot of different mascaras. I try from drugstore to premium brands like Benefit. Some brands are worth the pricier price tags but some you would be shocked that they are so cheap. One of my favorite mascaras is from Benefit. This is definitely a higher end mascara. You can find it in +Sephora. This mascara has a great wand. It separates your lashes like no other. It has more of that plastic brush and it has a ball on the end so that you can get in those inner and outer corners. The formula is great and it really does make your eyelashes look like they are fake.

Benefit just started to add to this fabulous collection. They recently added an eyeliner and an eye makeup remover. This is great since the mascara is so amazing already the brand and product line is already off to a great start. The eyeliner is for those girls that love that eyeliner that is just perfect. This liner is in a gel like pen form. In the past, you were either to get the pencil form or the gel form which you can apply with an angled brush. Benefit doesn't stop to amaze me with their products. A pen gel formula eyeliner. The tip has more of a rubberized feel and all you have to do is click up and dispense the gel. This formula enables you to be able to hug your lash line to give you that perfect liner look. Since it has a pen applicator, you can get a perfect cat eye and winged look. I am a total amature with the cat eye or winged look but with this liner, it will definitely make it easier to do. I am going to still need practice to avoid looking like a panda bear but if I am going to learn, this liner is probably the best one to learn with.

Benefit is also adding a eye makeup remover which is perfect since trying to get all this stuff off your eyes is usually a challenge. They managed to create a balm like eye makeup remover. This is going to be great to remove all the eyeliner and mascara. This doesn't debut until June but I am already looking forward to this launch. The eyeliner will retail for $24 and the eye makeup remover will retail for $18 and for those who are interested in getting the mascara now, that retails for $23.

Do you have a favorite mascara or eyeliner? Let me know I would love to try new things!

Beauty Box 5 May Edition Review

I went overboard with the monthly subscriptions this month but thats just because I got coupon codes so the first ones were free. I received the May box like 2 days ago and I have to say, this is the most disappoint box I've ever received. This is even worse than BirchBox. We only got 5 samples that were true sample sizes.

The first product that we received was Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion it was a small bottle of lotion and it helps improve the health of your skin. You immediately feel your skin smoother by the first use. The full bottle retails for $8.49 and its a great lotion.

The next product is from H2O and I actually love this brand. I buy the majority of this brand in Marshalls and TJMaxx but I love it. Its a great skincare brand. I love their body scrubs and their masks. I had high hopes for this lotion and the second I put it on my hands I was amazed. I need to get the full version of this. It leaves your hands moisturized and not feeling greasy or anything. The smell is regular nothing 'omg' special. This retails for $15 but I guarantee I can find it in Marshalls or TJMaxx for around $5.99

The next product are the Ban Total Refresh Cooling Body Cloths. I also received one of these in the Total Beauty Test Tube box and in this box I received 3 more samples. They are basically face wipes for the body. They are to refresh your body by leave you feeling cool. These are good for after the gym or after a long hot day in NYC. These are particularly good because they do not leave you with a gross sticky feeling like other wipes do. These leave you with a cooling powdery finish and this is what leaves you feeling actually refreshed. This retails for $3 and you can find them in drugstores.

The next product is a perfume sample of Harvey Prince Hello. I am usually not fond of perfume samples since I usually get a lot of those in the Sephora online purchases and after a while I just have way too much to use up before they get bad. This perfume was actually really good though. It has a floral Spring smell to it. It was light and not too heavy. Didn't give me a headache or anything. It says that it has hints of grapefruit, mandarin, forsythia and plumeria. The full bottle retails for $55.

The final product was probably the biggest sample but it did say it was still sample size. This was the Cattiva Precisione Eye Liner. Its a good liner because its not only waterproof but its also retractable so no need to worry about sharpening. This is the product that I would use the most. It doesn't smudge and it's good for tightlining not because it stays but because it doesn't smudge all over the corners of your eyes. Its not a messy eyeliner. This came in black and it retails for $20.

Again, this monthly box retails for $12 and there are no full size samples. These are samples that you would get in a Sephora or in the mail. It just wasn't worth the $12 especially since with Ipsy you get full size products. I already cancelled my subscription for this one.
